Gettin' Ready for Easter!

I'm so excited!  My sister, Bonnie, and I went shopping the other day for fabric to make an Easter skirt for her daughter, Breanna.  My sister doesn't sew (yet!) so she asked me to make it.  Because I'm fairly new to this whole quilting/sewing stuff I'm excited to give this a try!!!  :o)  This is the skirt pattern my sister found at Everyday Chaos. Isn't it the CUTEST thing ever?!?!? I think it'll be so darling on my niece!

This is the fabric she chose!  Isn't it so pretty?!?!?! It's called "Verona" from Riley Blake.  The greens and browns work so well together!  I'm lovin' it!!! :o)

So, of course, I couldn't leave the quilt shop without getting some fabric to make my granddaughter a skirt, too!  What kind of grandma would I be if I did that?!?!?  So I picked up some of this for Cambria's skirt . . .

Don't you just LOVE it?!?!?  This fabric is from "Papillon" by 3 Sisters.  I am so in love with these colors and prints!!!  I think it'll make such a sweet little skirt for my sweet little granddaughter!  I'll definitely show you pictures when it's done!

Well I better get busy, busy, busy!  LOVE IT!!!  :o)

Hugs!

  2. Beautiful fabrics and it is a law that you can't leave a store empty-handed!

  3. I love both sets of fabric. I bought fabric to make a skirt for a friend's daughter, but I hate sewing clothes (had to sew all my own growing up), so I've gotten as far as cutting out. =P Monday I will make myself sew the main pieces together. I'll love to see the skirt!
